1948 – awarded the National Prize
for Sport by Dr. Petru Groza, President of Romania
1953 – received the title of
Emeritus Master of Sport
Between 1950-1955 – decorated with
the Order of Labor, Class 1, 2 and 3 in recognition
of being world champion
1995 – received the Honorary
Citizen of Haifa prize, presented to her by the
Mayor of Haifa at the time, Mr. Amram Mitzna
1997 – awarded the Medal of Honor
by the Israeli Knesset, presented by the Knesset
Chairman, Mr. Dan Tichon
May 31, 2004 – formally invited to
Bucharest by the President of Romania, Yon Eliescu,
to the presidential palace. On this festive
occasion, she received her honors that were taken
away from her by the communist regime (except for
the trophies and medals that were not found) in a
festive ceremony held in the presidential palace and
broadcast on Romanian TV.
